I'm having some weird issues. I recently replaced an older
Serial PLM with a 2413s. It doesn't seem like Powerhome
has a device type for that.

What should it be?

Thanks in advance.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Travis,

You can create a new entry for the PLM in the Types tab of the Insteon Explorer and model it after any of the current PLM types. However, it really isnt necessary as the "controller" within PowerHome is governed by the controller type in the setup rather than the Insteon type (Insteon types are really only important for the non-controller devices).

If you set the type to 2414S, then it should work just the same.

What are the issues you're having?

Dave.

I'm trying to program some Mini remote and getting
really weird things.

For example, I get a lot of "Insteon Timeouts". I put
it in link mode, and enable it in PH...the it does a
"SCAN NEW I2CS LINK" twice (Record 1, then Record 2),
then a "CREATE I2CS INTITAL" then it repeats. This
continues until the remote drops of out link mode and
which point I get enough timeouts that it disables it.

What's REALLY weird is that I never see it create the
links to the new devices I added...but somehow it DID!
It seems like it works. One of them is a Dual Band Lamp
Link and it's about 6" from the remote, so it shouldn't
be a range issue.

I've also got some issues programming newer switches and
a KPL, but I haven't responded to your last message in
that thread yet.
